Romelu Lukaku hopes he will become an Inter player before the Nerazzurri face Manchester United in Singapore next weekend, according to the Mirror.

Antonio Conte has identified the Belgian as his no. 1 transfer target after failing to sign him for Chelsea two summers ago.

Inter are expected to make their first formal offer for Lukaku this week after virtually agreeing a deal for Nicolò Barella last night.

“Lukaku has been told by Ole Gunnar ­Solskjaer that he can leave Old Trafford if the club receive the right offer,” Darren Lewis reported.

“Federico Pastorello has left the matter in the club’s hands, in stark contrast to Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola who has put noses out of joint with his aggressive approach.

“Inter, meanwhile, insist they “cannot rush things” in the pursuit of their prime target.”

Lukaku is in Australia with United as they prepare to play Perth, but the 26-year-old wants to be their opponent on 20 July.

Inter will also face Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain on their Asian tour before returning to Europe for matches with Tottenham and Valencia.
