Valentino Lazaro cannot wait to make his debut for Inter after starting preseason with the Nerazzurri yesterday.
Lazaro joined from Hertha Berlin two weeks ago and will fill the right wing-back spot in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.
The Austrian international told Inter TV it would be ‘special’ to wear the black-and-blue shirt for the first time.
“I’m a bit tired because we’re working very hard but I feel great,” Lazaro said earlier.
“I’m very happy to be here and have started training. The lads are fantastic and there’s a great atmosphere.
“My teammates have given me a warm welcome and are giving me a lot of help. Ivan Perisic is translating things for me while I begin to learn Italian.”
Lazaro assured his first impressions of Conte’s managerial style were positive.
“He likes to work at full blast,” the midfielder added.
“It’s only the second day of training but we’ve already worked out his methodology. You can feel it in your legs but that’s normal at this stage.
“We’re all working together because we have important objectives and we want to do well this year.”
