Juventus Approach For Lukaku Could Be ‘Strategical’ Move To Force Inter’s Hand With Icardi

Inter’s competition for Romelu Lukaku may not be as genuine as it seems, according to La Repubblica.

Juventus have now entered the race to sign the Belgian, with various reports suggesting they have offered Paulo Dybala to Manchester United in a swap deal.

However, the Bianconeri’s move may be a ‘strategical’ attempt to force Inter’s hand with regards to Mauro Icardi, who remains their real target up front.

Inter are refusing to negotiate on their asking price, but the risk of losing out on Lukaku might persuade them to drop their demands and send their former captain to the Bianconeri.

Paulo Dybala’s future is no clearer than Icardi’s at present, with Juventus disappointed at the lack of offers they have received.

Inter are seemingly the only club interested in La Joya, having requested a swap deal with Icardi last month, but all talk of that has cooled in recent weeks.

The deal that seemed like ‘fantamercato’ several weeks ago may end up becoming reality towards the end of August, however, should no other club move for Dybala.
